Lessons

All our instructors are lifeguard, CPR, and First-Aid certified. Our classes begin with a land lesson where you will learn about ocean conditions, ocean awareness, safety in and out of the water, wave breaks, wave etiquette, push-up and pop-up techniques, paddling, riding waves. The lesson begins on the beach and then we will get into the water and practice in shallow areas.

Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone

Newport Beach Surf School specializes in providing a safe and non-threatening environment for our surfers. Everyone is invited to join our classes and have fun while learning how to surf. You will also be exploring the wonders of the ocean under the supervision of our experienced and certified instructors.

We understand how most of our beginner surfers feel. If you have ever wanted to learn surfing, but thought it is not possible for you, we want you to think again. We can guide you in taking the right steps, in a safe environment, to make it possible.

We provide lessons to first-time students, no matter you are at a beginner or intermediate level. Our qualified instructors respect every student's choice about their level of participation and comfort in the water.
