Welcome to Newport Beach Surf Lessons

Have you ever thought about how cool it would be to stand up and ride a wave? Give yourself, your child, or a friend the opportunity to become involved in the exhilarating sport of surfing. Jeff has over 35 years of surfing experience and will create a safe and comfortable learning environment. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience Jeff will give you the tools to take your surfing to the next level.

I teach at Orange and LA Counties' safest spots where there are no rocks making it much safer to get in and out of the water. Each surf lesson starts on the sand, I'll discuss safety, equipment, and how to properly stand up on a surfboard. I then take the students to the water where we practice how to paddle, sit on the board and stand up. The only prerequisite is that every student must be a proficient swimmer. All equipment is included in the lesson. I use state-of-the-art soft top surfboards which are very safe and made up of the same material as a boogie board. I also provide full-length wetsuits to keep you nice and warm throughout your lesson.
